Based on the novel of the same name by writer Pilar Eyre, *Ena* will have Javier Olivares, one of the most brilliant creators in television, as its showrunner. Olivares is known for highly successful series such as *El Ministerio del Tiempo* and *Isabel*.

The script is written by Isa Sánchez, Daniel Corpas, and Pablo Lara Toledo. The series will be entirely directed by women: Anaïs Pareto, who oversees the series as a whole and directs four episodes, and Estel Díaz, who will direct two episodes.
