Joaquín, Brujo, and Luismi, three neighborhood misfits, reunite after twenty years. Brujo and Luismi are still jobless but managing to scrape by, while Joaquín considers himself a successful businessman—or so he thinks. At 47, Joaquín still lives in Orcasitas, in his mother Esther’s apartment, along with his daughter Brenda, a yo-yo champion, and his brother Chema, a welder and *Wing Chun* instructor. Joaquín lives in apartment 9B, nine floors away from reality.

One day, he receives a court notice informing him that the house is being repossessed due to a loan Joaquín took out, with Esther as guarantor. Desperate to come up with the money to prevent eviction, Joaquín turns to Brujo and Luismi for help. However, their "brilliant" ideas only sink Joaquín further into trouble. The three friends embark on a desperate adventure to solve the problem, dragging the entire family along for the ride.
